Dog astronaut mural, downtown Houston
The St. Germain Lofts in downtown Houston elected to use its street-level windows to create a lunar landing scene, complete with an image of a lunar landing module, an unfurled American flag and an Earthrise on the horizon.
Astronauts have joined oil derricks, armadillos and even the rainbow-like colors of Houston Astros baseball uniforms as iconic images representing Houston.
